live to your full potential

Tonight I heard a story on the radio about a chicken and an eagle.

You may have heard it before... but here is the short paraphrased version.

There was once a an eagle who thought he was a chicken. There was once an Indian brave who was walking down the beautiful trail who discovered an eagle egg that had fallen out of the nest. He looked up and noticed that the nest was too high up for him to return the egg. So he placed the egg in a nearby prairie chicken nest. Soon the egg hatched. The young eagle grew up with the other chickens. Whatever the chickens did the eagle also did. He thought he was a chicken just like them.

Since the chickens could only fly a short distance, the eagle also learned to fly a short distance. So that was all he thought he could do. And that was all he was able to do.

One day he saw a bird flying above him and he was impressed. " Who is that?" he asked the hens around him. They told him that was an eagle, king of the birds. They shared with him that eagles belongs to the sky and we belong to the earth, we are chickens.

So, how do you think this story ends? Does he listen to chickens and decide to do what his peers tell him he is capable of? Does he embrace that desire in him to live to his full potential to be what God created him to be?

How are you living your life? You finish this story!

new things

Have you ever notice how something new can be overwhelming , yet exciting?

I have had a project on my heart for about 2 weeks. I was unsure what to do or how to do it. I finally moved through the unknown (MY FEAR) and did something I have never done before.

As a result, I finished what I started and I am almost giddy about the entire thing. I was able to create a journal to serve my clients better. Something I could give them to let each of them know that I am here to serve and support them.

I can truely say, I am doing things I never would have dreamed of doing before. Courage.

God is so good to complete in us what HE starts.

For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future. Jer 29:11

For one moment our lives touched

A friend of mine sent me a youtube video (FREE HUGS) that was filmed in Italy. In this video, a couple of people held up a sign, that read....FREE HUGS in English and Italian. In this video, many people were not interested in the gift. However, the ones that accepted the gift, took the risk, the risk to hug a stranger... were glad they did. How do I know? Look at their faces. The face is the reflection of what is in the heart.

What an amazing gift God has given us as we share what have to encourage other people.

Research says it takes about 10 positive comments/interactions to undo a negative comment/interaction.

SO.....if that is true

When is the last time you hugged someone?

When was the last time you allowed someone to hug you?

Go change your world...where God has planted you!!

Would Would Happen

What would happen if we decided to focus our energy on what we really wanted?

What would happen if we really began to live out our values and convictions without worrying about what others would think of us? If they would accept our life styles?

What would happen if you dared to dream again about what you would do if money was not a factor and if you could do ANYTHING you wanted? Would that idea bring more meaning and fullfillment in your life and mine?

I have noticed a continual pattern in the responses to the question.."what do you want?"

I have noticed that some people do not know what they want. Some people rattle off a list of what other people say they should want. I have also noticed that some people are focused on the pursuit of external pleasures, and have not actually given time of thought to internal value system or purpose that drives what they do or how they spend their time.

What would happen if we took a few minutes everyday to focus on what we really want and begain to live that out in our everyday lives?

What would that do to our families? What would that do to our churches? What would that do to our communities?

How would this idea, intentional living change your daily routine?

or would it?

Would love to hear about it!

RUNU ME

RUNU is significant to me because the concept behind it made a HUGE impact in my life.

RUNU is a couple of questions that I constantly asked myself that led me to the journey of life coaching.

The questions...

1. Who R U investing in?
2. Who is investing N U?

I believe you find your life when you give it away! I love people and enjoy seeing people live in freedom...to live a life they really want without excuses. That level of awareness takes an intentional investment to those you are in relationship with. I am who I am because different people along the way invested in me. Investment from family, friends, colleagues, mentors, and coaches has made a difference in my journey. I also realized through this journey, that those willing to invest in me are few and far between.I needed a renewal of my mind and my spirit. God provided a way and provided a ministry opportunity I did not even realize was there.

RUNU ME was born.
